Trinidadians have been very curious to know more about Miriam Rautert since it was revealed that she was partial of Trinidadian descent. Not a lot is in the public domain about the beauty queen.

She is a full-time model who lives in Berlin and she is living her dreams at 23. Apart from her huge passion for fashion and the beauty industry, she is well-read – graduating from the University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and corporate communication. She was recently interviewed by The Express and she spoke glowingly about the racial diversity of her background. She revealed that her father was a German while her mother hailed from Sangre Grande. She explained that her parents met courtesy of a friend who introduced them to each other. This was after the Mum had lived in Germany for some years. She was born in Germany. However, she is connected to the two sides her family and proud of her heritage. She has an elder sister and she says that a sizeable number of her family members are still in Trinidad.

The news of the massive love and support of her fans in Trinidad and the Caribbean brought her great joy and she went on to say: “I feel so happy and blessed, that I get so much support. ” She explained that she had achieved a life long dream.” It was a dream of mine since I was a child to compete at the Miss Universe stage and to have so many supportive people is unbelievable.”

Rautert is a charming beauty. She is so gorgeous that you might be right to say that she is as beautiful as she wants. Despite all of that, she has this very down – to – earth and relatable personality. What most people will like to call the girl – next door personality.

Rautert loves food, exercise and travel. She loves Berlin for the liveliness of the city and Trinidad for the lovely climate and beaches. The brown-eyed beauty loves writing and being in front of the camera. She speaks both German and English fluently and she can play the violin and piano with the expertise of a good beginner.

She was quick to point out that her amateur ability to play some musical instruments does not signal any ability to sing. While chuckling she put it this way “I am not a good singer at all. My friends and family are always annoyed when I start singing.”

She however said that the beauty industry has afforded her a platform that she intends to use for the propagation of ideas close to her heart. “My advocacy is the petite model market. My voice goes to all the petite girls out there who would love to work as a model but still have agencies, clients and people saying ‘you are not tall enough’ “. She said. Rautert now went further to state that she also had such experiences and she overcame: ” I faced that problem often by myself and it took me almost seven years to find agencies that really believe in me even though I am 5’5 tall. I want to make my campaign #heightisnotanissue bigger and would like to open a Modeling academy one day where I teach girls and women how to act, walk and pose like a model and help them to enter the model industry so that they are prepared and have enough self-confidence to not give up.”
