A Minnesota man allegedly killed his wife after an argument over lack of sex escalated to violence, CBS Minnesota reported.

Police say after 48-year-old Jason Michael Mesich killed Angela Lynn, 47, he turned the gun on his two next-door neighbors, sisters who were packing up a moving truck at the time.

12-year-old Makayla Saulter-Outlaw and her sister Canisha Saulter, 29, survived but are hospitalized with gunshots wounds. Makayla was shot in the head and is in critical condition. Canisha was shot several times in the legs and left hip. She is in serious condition.

Police say Makayla shielded her older sister’s 1-year-old daughter, Winter. Canisha is unable to see her baby in the hospital due to Covid-19 restrictions.

First responders found Mesich in the basement of his home, where he allegedly fired his gun before surrendering to police.

He has been charged with one count of second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree attempted murder.

Mesich reportedly told police he and his wife had argued in the garage about the couple’s lack of sex before he shot her.

He told police he didn’t remember the details of the shootings other than the argument with his wife. He said he “probably” went into the house to retrieve his gun.

He told police his wife hit him and he then punched her in the collarbone and she “told him” to kill her, MailOnline reports.

He also reportedly said he shot the two sisters because they were not “good neighbors” and that “he hated all children”.

The family launched a GoFundMe account to raise money for the sisters’ expenses.
