Eating a Dozen Eggs In A Week, Get You Better Health by Researchers

Date:

According to research in Australia,  eating dozen or more eggs don’t harm any diabetic patient especially type 2 diabetes patients and cardio patients.

Another research which was published in American Journal Of Clinical Nutrition, it was said that there is no effect on cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, glycemia(blood sugar), and cholesterol by eating 12 or more eggs in a week.

Two crew of volunteers were established to know that eating a dozen eggs in week causes or effects on diseases or not. One crew were diabetic patients (type 2 diabetes). Diabetes patients were said to eat 2 eggs in a week and other was said to eat dozens in a week.

In the first three months,  Crew were asked to maintain their weight, in the next three month, they were asked to lose their weight. And in the next six months, they were followed by the researcher’s instructions.

In this 12 months examination, no changes in diabetes and cardiovascular diseases were seen in both crews, and just weight loss was seen. It was said then that there is no effect of eating a dozen eggs in a week on diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

In the 1970s, the myth of egg consumption and diabetes or cardio risk arose due to less knowledge and research. It was understood that more egg consumption could be led to high cholesterol. Healthy people were advised to eat 3 to 4 eggs in a week and diabetic or cardio patients were strictly advised to take fewer eggs.

This advice remained a dietary aphorism for many years, and many studies were done on egg consumption and diseases.

In 2013, a meta-analysis published in which it was said that till now there is no data which expresses that egg consumption causes/effects diabetes or cardio diseases. Many studies on egg consumption and diseases are available, but those all studies are merely observations

In meta-analysis reviews, no relation was found between cardio diseases and egg consumption. It was noted then that all studies at that time were incompatible. But a relation of diabetes and egg consumption found. That’s why more research on egg consumption was done.

According to new study of Fuller(nutritionist) and his colleagues that eggs are full of dietary cholesterol, and people with type 2 diabetes have higher level of LDL(bad cholesterol) in their blood that’s why more  egg consumption can affect the cholesterol level of those people who are patient of type 2 diabetes and in further research by Fuller that it effects but not very much.

Further, he said that the egg is full of nutrients which are good and essential for the human body. The egg helps in regulation carbohydrates and fats, good for eyes and cardio health, good for healthy pregnancies.

We should eat at least a dozen eggs in a week. And now, nutritionists also says that there is no relation between egg consumption and diseases. Eggs provide essential nutrients. We should follow nutritionists’ advice and consume two eggs in a day and dozen in a week.
