Solange Knowles’ announcement of a split from her husband Alan Ferguson has been trailed by wild speculations of infidelity on the singer’s part. The internet has been replete with Savage comments that seem to ridicule Solange for allegedly cheating on her estranged husband.
In the Post which she put up on her Instagram account, Solange spoke about being imperfect and constantly striving to get better. The R&B star went further to speak about her spiritual progress since the quiet end of her 5 years marriage to Alan Ferguson. “11 years ago I met a phenomenal man who changed every existence of my life. Early this year we separated and parted ways, and it ain’t nan nobody business) I find it necessary to protect the sacredness of my personal truth and to live in it fully just as I have before and will continue to do.” she wrote on Instagram.
The former couple dated for eleven years and finally got married in 2014. It was a lavish ceremony that took place in an ancient New Orleans church. They set a new trend with the wedding party dressing – everyone wore white. That became a thing that a lot of newly engaged couples wanted to emulate for their own weddings.
Solange and Alan love vacationing in Jamaica which is fondly called their second home by Solange.
Even though Solange never gave any reason(s) for their break up, the internet has been buzzing with rumours that she cheated on Alan with her former Co-manager John Boggard. She has come out to clear the air by quashing the rumours and also apologizing to her ex-manager. “Yo [thank you] @onvacation for being the best co-manager for 5 years sorry the internet is so unkind nb lying go back to enjoying ya vacation. ”
Her response has done little to put out the fire with a lot of fans on Twitter insinuating that she really cheated. Some even wondered why she had to cheat on Alan with a white man. Others took it a notch further by accusing her of hypocrisy due to the fact that she had – in the past – attacked Jay-Z in an elevator for cheating on Beyonce. And here she is guilty of the same wrongdoing – according to such commentators on Twitter. The problem with this line of thinking is that there is no place in her statement where she spoke about cheating on her spouse. It is ridiculous that people are taking mere speculations as to the truth without any confirmation.
