Buju Banton has released a new single titled “country for sale”. The Jamaican Reggae/Dancehall artist had ruled the stage at his homecoming concert with other acts some months back. Clearly, the legend is on the path to making his comeback a solid one.
This new single from Buju comes a year after his release from prison. The legendary Buju Banton was behind bars for seven years in the U. S. Now that he’s a free man again, he’s set to bless his fans and reggae airwaves with his usual iconic sound.
On “Country for Sale”, Buju Banton in his usual captivating reggae style sings about the Jamaican government’s clear lack of respect and care for its people. His lyrics also point out the government’s greed and desperation for riches with no regard as to the peoples suffering.
It’s still unclear as to whether the new single will be included in Buju Banton’s upcoming project. However, the icon is expected to be part of DJ Khaled’s forthcoming album – Father of Asahd
