Buju Banton, the reggae legend hit the stage at Kingston’s National Stadium on Saturday and the first show of the Long Walk to Freedom Tour was definitely one to remember. The 35,000 capacity stadium was packed with about 40,000 attendees.
Excited fans flew to Jamaica from all around the globe to witness the return of Buju and soak in his iconic performance. The Reggae champion did not disappoint as he rocked his evergreen singles such as “Driver”, “Batty Rider”, “Champion” and many other hit songs.
Before Buju came on, the show opened with performances from Christopher Martin, Koffee, Romain Virgo, Chronixx and several other artistes.
The 2-hour performance was as top notch iconic and legendary as fans expected. Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffiths, Wayne Wonder, Stefflon Don, and many more artists joined Buju Banton for his big night.
